Coast Unveils it’s Glamorous Ball Gown Collection
Occasion wear favourite Coast, has teamed up with the V&A Museum to design a magical range of ball gowns inspired by the V&A’s extensive fashion archive & their successful exhibition held last year – Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950.
Showcased by model of the moment, Suki Waterhouse, the capsule collection of 6 gowns have been designed to complement the glamorous silhouettes of a bygone era in luxurious fabrics that are constructed using techniques inspired by the couture houses from the 1950’s and 1930’s.
My favourite wedding ballgown has to be the Cecily dress, dripping in 1930’s glamour this dress guarantees a grand entrance. Made from silk satin & embellished with crystal beading, I love the godet details that add flare to the dress and the back cut out detail which adds a modern twist to this demure design – Coast design director Kim Elliot & her team have outdone themselves!
