It might only be Wednesday today, but I have got the weekend spirit with me, & so I need to share my recent obsession with peach bellinis!

How could you resist? They are just so pretty to look at……..& taste good too! But more importantly peach is a really versatile colour for your wedding day colour scheme. It sits perfectly with ivory, gold & silver, as well as nearly all pastel shades which will be a massive trend for spring/summer 2014.

So here my lovely brides is some peachy inspiration for your wedding day…..

Wedding Flower Inspiration: The Chelsea Flower Show

This year the Chelsea Flower Show celebrates 100 years in show. A remarkable feat, that demonstrates the global appreciation & awe of natures great creations.

A novice I may be when it comes to the encyclopedia of existing blooms….I found myself spending hours Googling away my florist’s suggestions for my wedding bouquet, chapel & venue flowers.  All rather tiresome, and on reflection I wish I had been able to come to the table with the flowers I knew of & actually wanted!

So my point in short, if you are feeling under/overwhelmed by what blooms will bring sheer joy to your wedding day, the Chelsea Flower Show (or your local nursery) is a great place to start….and rather empowering I might add. Under one house you have the best experts on hand to ask all your questions & confidently source a supplier if you are doing your own wedding day flowers.

The Great Pavilion is one of Chelsea’s main attractions & houses the top nurseries from all over the world. This is by far my favorite spot to get lost in all the different species & flower arrangements. This year arrangements were either big, bold & uncomplicated or pure English countryside, as if you had just collected your blooms at sunrise on your wedding day!

My top choice has to be the Amaryllis & Allium, which together make for a clean, fresh & bold statement.

You always need to check that your flower choices will be in season at the time of your wedding & will last all the hours they are intended for. Amaryllis flowers are in season from late December until the end of June & Alliums from Spring to mid-summer. They also come in a variety of colours, Amaryllis – red, white, orange, salmon, purple & Alliums in a wide range of sizes and shades of blue, purple, white and yellow.

I’ve put together a board of how you could use these two amazing flowers in your wedding day, enjoy!

myLWB’s is live on Pinterest!

Finalising your wedding theme, colour scheme & bridal style can be rather tricky when there are so many wonderful ideas just a click away.

Pinterest is a fantastic way to narrow down all those wedding ideas. The site enables you to create your your own online customised mood boards, which is a nifty way of covering the look & feel of every aspect of your wedding day.

You could create a board for your wedding dress & share this with your bridesmaids & selected wedding dress boutiques to speed up your search. Another great tip would be to share your boards with a variety of service providers to obtain realistic quotes or share with final providers so they have an understanding of the look you wish to achieve.

My Little White Book is now live on Pinterest, & full of exciting boards to help you get on your way to starting your own. Start by creating an account, setting up boards eg. wedding dress; table placements; start following myLWB & get pinning!

I’d suggest a maximum of 10 pins per board & then narrow this down to 3-5 images so to achieve a focused look to each board. This is also a great way to get your fiance involved in pinning, & to help out we have a board especially created for the groom.

Happy Pinning!!!
